Irises on Blue (Tiffany Style Painting)

Because I love late Victorian and Edwardian Tiffany glass artwork (windows and lamps), and though I once thought I might like to, I’m not about to get serious about actually doing it myself at this point in life, I decided to try painting in the spirit of that style. This is my first attempt. I love blues, greens, purples, Irises and there are also Blue Magnolias as a sort of backdrop in this rendition. I don’t know if magnolias exist in blue, but, in my mind’s eye they do. This is a fairly large painting that hangs in our front sitting/dining room (and has garnered a good deal of compliments). I haven’t been able to part with it for any proffered money. So, I guess this painting remains my own to keep.
