B's “Sweets to the Sweet” by Edmund Blair-Leighton

“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”

In keeping with the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’, here is another quote from that work, and in accompaniment is ‘Sweets to the Sweet’ painting by Edmund Blair Leighton, a Pre-Raphaelite artist.
