My sincere apologies to all wonderful stepmothers everywhere, for Mildred’s bad behavior towards her stepchildren. A novelist never truly knows what a character may do nor where a storyline may lead. Fionna’s stepmother has her own stubborn mind and a particularly selfish disposition. I tried to guide Mildred towards better, however…

    P.S.
My heartfelt thanks to all those who have shared such generous and lovely compliments thus far, in the form of comments here and also in numerous emails.

    Dear Kerri,

What a wonderful novel! I just read Chapter 1 last night and now Chapter 2. Can’t wait for Chapter 3 and all the rest … It is truly intriguing and makes me want more — the sign of an excellent book. I can’t believe the publisher wanted you to cut any of it. You paint your picture so clearly and vividly with your words. I really like your writing style.

Thank you for putting this where we all can enjoy and share this together. As they say, “you go girl!”

    All my best,
    Kathy

I like the writing style. It reminds me of some Jane Austen that I’ve read.

    I can’t wait for more,
    Lynn

    Dear Kerri:

What a wonderful story. You do have a gift, a wonderful gift of words and a salute your efforts!!!
I can’t wait for the next chapter. I must have missed any comments about future publication, but is this still in the works. I, personally, love the story and your use of the English language. Don’t give up. Your doll & spiritual friend…Linda
